Synopsis

Set within an actual shophouse on Everton Road, Shophouse Allure brings D'Gers' remarkable series to life in the very environment that inspired it. D'Gers, a French artist known for her innovative use of upcycled materials, invites audiences to reimagine Singapore's heritage shophouses through her distinctive artistic lens. This exhibition is more than a visual experience; it’s a deep exploration of sustainability, cultural preservation, and emotional well-being.

Curated by Mun, Shophouse Allure combines art with a social message, showcasing D'Gers' dedication to environmental awareness and her passion for supporting mental health in communities. Through her art, she creates a therapeutic outlet for self-expression, using each piece to foster mindfulness and emotional connection. The exhibition also features a public art workshop where participants of all ages can engage in hands-on creativity, further promoting mental wellness. Shophouse Allure offers a unique opportunity to explore art, heritage, and sustainability in an intimate and meaningful setting.
