Located within the premises of Sculpture 2052, on top of the GrassLand next to the Shoebox Sculpture Landscape, the tour session promises a “break” from the hectic schedule of SAW activities, taking form as a leisurely PICNIC/HIGH TEA SERVICE. 

Sightseeing Sculpture Guided Tours invites you, the sightseers, to experience sculpture like you have never before. Artist-docents enact the role of a Tour Guides, and more than 100 miniature sculptures as key landmarks - directing sightseers on a journey through the nuances behind the making, the techniques used to realise these sculptures, and also the history of key public sculptures in Singapore. Covering a wide variety of the sculptural practices of artists based in Singapore, the tour hopes to provide insight into the varied and disparate field of sculpture in Singapore.

This guided tour is presented by Lead Artist Yang Jie and Associate Artists Casey Chen, Xin Xiao Chang, Yeo Chee Kiong, Artists Caravan (Joey Soh & Ong Xiao Yun), Yellow Thatchery (Yang Jie & Syamil Dasuki).

These two guided sculpture tours will stroll through two CBD areas in the city. Participants will get to experience the site-specific sculptures and the environmental context that embraces it. After the tour, participants will gain a wider appreciation of public sculptures in Singapore’s urban landscape. Participants will also be gifted a trail map , a cartographic design with limited edition of 30 per trail, by two local artists, @Superduperd4n for Morning Trail and Long Yinghan for Afternoon Trail, as a token to revisit and share stories of these trails with their near and dear.
