In this 5th solo exhibition, Zhang creates a series of 33 paintings in oil and acrylic or Chinese ink. This exhibition showcases a colourful montage of his experiences and impressions: scenes and images that are current and familiar, yet highlighting his affinity with elements of cultural tradition.
Guest-curated by Guo-Liang Tan, the exhibition seeks to bring together works by 10 Singaporean artists to explore ideas of ‘liveliness’ and questions of form, in relation to abstraction as a mode of engaging with different aspects of being. It comprises works by past STPI residency artists, as well as other prominent artists whose works deal with the language of abstraction.
open books returns to The Arts House with an experiential art installation that takes inspiration from Wesley Leon Aroozoo's I Want to Go Home. Co-curated and designed by Mural Lingo and The Arts House, the immersive multi-sensory installation invites you to encounter the strength of a man's love and resilience to be reunited with his loved one.
