Synopsis
Our usual Friday EDITION at Wonder Room gets an upgrade this Art Week and we are going full visual. Courtesy of homegrown talent Jahan Loh, whose contemporary works take over the big screen for one night only. Think gallery meets rave, art meets after-dark.
Jahan Loh is one of Singapore's most iconic contemporary artists and one of Asia's most successful street practitioners. He has made his name remixing pop culture, reworking familiar icons and blending traditional craft with guerrilla grit. His work thrives on contrast; popular imagery meets cryptic wordplay, cultural nostalgia collides with the now. And he was the first to bring street art into galleries in both Singapore and China, proving that the streets and white walls are not so different after all.
