Up the Stairs, Into Art

Mondrian Singapore Duxton

23 January 2026 to 31 January 2026

Free admission

Synopsis

Commissioned as part of the Singapore Tourism Board's Creator Residency in collaboration with Mondrian Singapore Duxton, this site-specific staircase mural is led by Singaporean artist Tobyato and Filipino artist Jappy Agoncillo. Centred on the lion, the collaborative artwork brings together two distinct urban Southeast Asian styles. Inspired by the spirit of rojak, it reflects Singapore's layered creativity, cultural diversity, and shared regional heritage, transforming the hotel's staircase into a living art experience.

Inspired by the spirit of creativity behind the stairs mural, Christina's introduces a playful "Paint-a-bear" DIY dessert experience during Singapore Art Week for $38++. Guests are invited to paint their own dessert before indulging, turning the final course into a canvas. The interactive experience encourages self-expression and imagination, reflecting Mondrian Singapore Duxton's art-forward philosophy where creativity extends beyond the walls and onto the table.
