Telok Kurau Studios Exhibition - "Tomorrow"

Telok Kurau Studios is the first Artist Housing Scheme Venue in Singapore. The development of this rustic compound has transformed over the years and the studios currently house 20 over artists’ studios in Singapore with artists from 29 to 83 years old.

Telok Kurau has the greatest diversity of artists from different backgrounds, Cultural Medallion Award recipients, Dr Tan Swie Hian, Goh Beng Kwan, Amanda Heng, Teo Eng Seng, Young Artist Award Recipients, Baet Yeok Kuan, Dr Lim Poh Teck, Hong Sek Chern, Chua Say Hua, Yeo Chee Kiong, Established Award Winning Artists, Chieu Shuey Fook, Lim Leong Seng, Tang Mun Kit, Loy Chye Chuan, Tan Wyn-Lyn, Ng Yak Whee, Chan Choy Har, Teo Huey Ling, San See Piau, Leo Hee Tong, Victor Tan Kar Wee, Notable art societies, Singapore Watercolour Society and Singapore Colour Photographic Society, Emerging Artists William Goh, Zen Teh, Hera, Fajrina.

Telok Kurau Studios would be having a series of programmes during the art weeks ranging from exhibition to sharing, workshops and open studios during the artweek duration.

William Goh will be conducting a sharing on medium control and materials in Oil and Watercolour painting. The artist will also be sharing his work processes and 50-60 artworks he has created over the years. He will also be sharing his perspective on art praxis and the art market.

Photography Talk by Singapore Colour Photographic Society

Singapore Colour Photographic Society will be conducting a talk about their exhibition of International Salon and will be showcasing a collection of photos which are winning entries.

Chinese Ink Demonstration by Chua Say Hua

Chua Say Hua will be demonstrating contemporary ink painting and participants of this demonstration will get to try out how to paint bamboo and leaves.

Yeo Chee Kiong will be sharing about his overseas sculpture symposium experiences, and the unique way for artists and sculptor to travel and learn about the foreign lands.

Watercolour Workshop by Artists from Singapore Watercolor Society

Artists from Singapore Watercolor Society, Seah Kang Chui, Goh Hui Ying, Seah Kam Chuan will be doing a workshop on watercolor painting. This workshop will teach participants how to create simple trees and clouds using the watercolor medium.

Brushes, Paint and Paper will be provided.

Ceramic and Wood Sculpture Sharing by Teo Huey Ling
