The Fullerton Hotel Singapore celebrates the 90th anniversary of the historic grand building with the debut of Re:Generation presented by Next-Gen artists, curated by Theo Arts Professionals.
Young award-winning artists Jodi Tan, Justin Lim and Yeo Jian Long use traditional time-tested materials for their art. Employing chalk, charcoal, ink, graphite, oil and embroidery, their contemporary expressions will form an important area of art development in years to come. Noticing that these three young artists’ work disrupt the pattern of new media and installation amongst their peers, the objective of Re:Generation is to allow such different creatives to succeed in their artistic paths. The theme of Re:Generation is a question of the sustainability of visual arts expressions and communications to audiences. Our three Young Singapore Artists discourse contemporary notions of beauty and temporality, existence and parallel existences, and social media.
Find out more about the artists and their practices from them in person on the Saturdays of 13 and 20 January, 10 and 24 February, at 3pm.
