Patricia Piccinini: We Are Connected draws visitors into a strange and wondrous reality where animal-human hybrids exist. The exhibition brings together more than 40 hyperrealistic sculptures, installations, collages and videos, marking Piccinini’s first major solo showcase in Southeast Asia.

Working at the frontier of art, science and technology, Piccinini’s artworks straddle the artificial and natural, embracing potential new lifeforms and ever-changing bodies that may emerge from today’s technological age.

Visitors of all ages are invited to encounter Piccinini’s tender and surreal creatures, and ponder the possibilities of a future in a diverse, multi-species world that embraces difference. She urges visitors to explore humankind’s relationships with other species and ecosystems, issuing a call for greater introspection, kindness, human responsibility, and acceptance.

This is an ArtScience Museum production in collaboration with the Institute for Cultural Exchange and the artist, Patricia Piccinini.
