MeshMinds 1.0: ArtxTechforGood
ArtxTechforGood presented by MeshMinds, is an upcoming showcase at ArtScience Museum that introduces the public to technologies such as VR, AR, 3D printing and the Internet of Things, through experiences created by Singapore artists.
Over the last 4 months, over 20 Singapore artists underwent the MeshMinds program to become proficient in new technologies and use them as their canvas. The result is a new generation of artists working at the intersection of art and technology.
Some of the highlights include: Visual artist Debbie Ding, who has documented over 100 of her dreams which she will recreate as a VR experience; Illustrator André Wee, who has created miniature worlds using 3D printing which visitors can experience in life-size VR; Dawn Ang, who uses VR to help city-dwellers reduce anxiety; and Benjamin Low, whose installation made out of waste collected from MBS, uses AR to educate about the ‘zero waste’ movement and the importance of the circular economy.
Enjoy delicious sustainably-sourced food from Marina Bay Sands and drinks from our friends at Crossroads Brewing Company.
