On the occasion of the Bicentennial, artist Shooshie Sulaiman reimagines two narratives from Malay folklore upon the grounds of the Malay Heritage Centre. The tale of the dexterous mousedeer Sang Kancil and the tree of life (pohon beringin) come together in this installation that commemorates Malay tradition and intellect.
