Joo Choon Lin: Dance in the Destruction Dance
Joo Choon Lin: Dance in the Destruction Dance presents an atmospheric space that is both a performance and installation. As a poet, Joo Choon Lin’s multisensory environment is an instrument for experimental storytelling that highlights how industrial materials such as plastics, fabrics and metal can be made to continuously shift their shapes and meanings. The installation is accompanied by live performances scripted by the artist, amplifying the migration of forms and shapes as the narrative of the exhibition. Ultimately, Dance in the Destruction Dance is Joo’s way of illuminating how perception (or what we see) are mere appearances of what we imagine the world to be.
