Ceramic Expressions (5th Edition): Celebrating Women Artists
Kayoko Hoshino; and 10 Singapore based ceramicists.
Whether sculptural or monumental, rugged, or delicate, quiet or exuberant, meditative or decorative, or whimsical and inexplicable, the exhibition aims to feature a diversity of works, from traditionally meditative, wabi-sabi influenced pieces organically shaped by clay, to more assertive, statement pieces manipulating clay in pursuit of more singular visions, as well as those that fall somewhere in-between. From works that examine the deeply personal to those expressing thoughts about the state of things in the world and concerns about the future, the exhibition sets out to celebrate the imagination and diversity of work by women artists speaking potently through clay.
