Born in 1973 in Taunggyi, Southern Shan State, Ko Z belongs to the Kachin ethnic minority. He lives and works in Yangon, Myanmar. Ko Z has participated in more than 40 group art exhibitions and is also known as a performance artist. He has participated in many performance festivals in Myanmar and abroad. Since 2009, he has been instrumental in launching an environmental art movement in Myanmar.
Over two special sessions, Ko Z will share his experiences as a visual and performance artist, and his commitment to the environment. He will also explain how he strives to raise awareness about the situation in the Kachin state and about the IDP (internally displaced people) in Myanmar.
