Synopsis

Kumiko’s very first sculpture made in 2002 was broken by somebody, and she got traumatized.  Twenty years later, she fixed it with the technique of Kintsugi, a traditional Japanese art method which highlights the blemishes with gold and turns them into our attractiveness rather than hiding them.  Kumiko overcame her trauma and started a new art series, Kintsugi Bear of Resilience to celebrate survival and resilience of human beings.
