Open to all, this activation invites the public to come together and take part in this collective artwork - contributing to an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records for The Largest Ball of Fabric Strips. Happening across the weekend Jan 23-25th Friday to Sunday, visitors are welcome to braid, knot and tie upcycled fabric strips into the growing artwork.

Once completed, the final installation will be displayed at The Great Hall as part of Millenia Walk's House of Lucky Paws Art Exhibition, remaining on view until 3 March, beautifully situated next to the Merry-Go-Round. Celebrating creativity, unity and shared prosperity, this activation sits within Millenia Walk's Together in Prosperity Chinese New Year campaign, reminding us that when we come together, something meaningful and spectacular is created.

Synopsis

Presented as part of Millenia Walk's Creative Neighbourhood, this participatory installation by Singapore artist Natalia Tan invites visitors to braid, knot, and tie repurposed textile strips into a growing giant fabric ball. Created entirely from textile waste, it celebrates sustainability while symbolising unity and togetherness. The work also marks an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records for the Largest Ball of Fabric Strips, inviting the public to be part of this collective artwork.
