Synopsis

The Politics of Print: elephant in the room reimagines the symposium format as a dynamic, lively and generative space for conversations. Curated in collaboration with Stephanie Bailey, a series of panels over two days will explore a diverse range of subjects – from traditional print markets to radical printmaking in Asia. Artist Cem A.'s Crit Club, a performative work rooted in debate, will debut in Singapore as part of the symposium.

Anchored by an iconic 1981 work from Singapore's pioneer artist Cheong Soo Pieng, "Inside the Dream of a Durian Seller" is a group exhibition that takes inspiration from Cheong's dreamlike painting.
