Synopsis

Interfaces: Between Worlds, Across Mediums features a panel of Singapore curators - Srushti Kamat, Clara Peh and Tulika Ahuja - who will share insights into their practice and processes at the intersection of media, technology, and cultural meaning-making. This programme is guest programmed by Shireen Marican.

The curators will draw from their differing projects to explore how technology becomes a lens for examining Singapore-specific themes; how they balance spectacle and substance when cultivating emotional architectures within digital mediums; and how they enable cross-pollination between conventional and emerging forms of art appreciation. They will explore tradeoffs between institutional backing and independent agility, technical realities of presenting works, and questions of scale, time, access, and risk.

As Singapore positions itself at the forefront of technological innovation, these curators ask questions around making art accessible and meaningful, democratising emerging technologies while maintaining depth, and emergent possibilities at the edges of current practice.
