Synopsis

This island-wide Open Studios initiative by the Modern Art Society Singapore (MASS) offers the public a rare opportunity to visit the working spaces of 13 leading contemporary artists. This is one of its kind—and perhaps the largest open studio event island-wide organized by a single art organisation. It allows visitors to explore diverse mediums and generations, deepening public understanding of how our members remain connected to the evolving language of contemporary art. Here, modernism is not seen as a fixed historical moment or noun, but as a pronoun—a living, fluid continuum encompassing pre-modern, modern, post-modern, and meta-modern sensibilities. Through these visits, we invite you to experience the richness, relevance, and ongoing resonance of contemporary art in Singapore today.
All the studios are open to public and sharing will be conducted. However, do check in with the artists on their availability nearer to date, their contact can be found through modernartsocietysg.weebly.com.
